If you choose to set up two-factor authentication, you will need to use a time-based one-time password (TOTP) application on your smartphone such as Google Authenticator.

You can then generate an authentication code (token) for Code for Life at any time. In most cases, just launching the application will generate a token. You should refer to your application's documentation for specific instructions.

If you delete the mobile application after configuring two-factor authentication, you'll need to provide a recovery code to get access to your account. These are provided on the teacher dashboard and will need to be downloaded and saved in a safe place before exiting the website.

Warning: For security reasons, Code for Life may not be able to restore access to accounts with two-factor authentication enabled if you lose your two-factor authentication credentials or lose access to your account recovery methods.
